So…….Last night was tough. I was doing fine until I got home and decided that I would have baked ziti instead of my regular frozen meal. I had a small portion and everything was fine. Then a couple of hours later (after dessert) I was extremely hungry. I tried to just eat a sugar-free Jell-O cup, but it didn’t work. So I went and had a huge extra portion of baked ziti! I put a lot on the plate thinking I won’t eat all of it, just enough to where I was full. Well, I ate all of it and could have gone back for more. So now I’m trying to make up for it. When I woke up this morning I was still full from last night. I didn’t get hungry until about 2 pm. I had my usual shake. As for exercise I’m going to do week 1 of the couch to 5k when I leave work at 4:30 pm. Hopefully my meal plan will go according to plan for the rest of evening.

Wednesday was okay. Everything was going to good until I got home and my sister had made Baked Ziti. She claimed it was the best she’s ever made! How can I break her little heart and not at least taste it? I had already eaten and was very thankful that I hadn’t had my dessert yet because I replaced my dessert with baked ziti instead. It was soooo good and she was right, it was the best baked ziti she had ever made. After I had eaten it I did regret it because I was looking forward to my ice cream. I’m not sure why but as soon as I finished eating the baked ziti I was incredibly hungry. I wanted to go into the kitchen and get a HUGE plate of it and eat until my stomach hurt and I could barely stand. I tried to take my mind off of it by going online. It worked, but I was hungry for the rest of the night. For the first time this week I felt like I was on a diet. I don’t know what it was about that baked ziti that gave me that intense hunger feeling. I know tonight I will be having my ice cream, though!!!
My biggest struggle right now is not eating out. When I was younger my mom didn’t cook so I had hot dogs or we went out to eat. It has been such a part of my life I don’t know how to go out of the house and not eat out. I’ve have not ever gone to the mall and not had a meal there. So when I’m dieting I try not to go anywhere. I usually stay home and watch TV or read. My friend I haven’t seen in awhile invited me out to dinner, but I refused…..it’s like death sentence.
Growing up I was always very thin. Food never excited me. When I was in high school I weighed 140 lbs. and I never thought about my weight. I ate whatever I wanted. I regret not appreciating being thin though. I never had to worry about my legs rubbing together or going into a store and not being able to fit anything or just not being happy about how I looked. I mean I had my problems. I have extremely long arms and I could never find tops that fit. When I was in high school my biggest wish was to be able to where a long sleeve button up shirt with sleeves that reached my wrist. They didn’t have the extra long sleeves like they have now. Now when I think back on it I would trade long arms with having to lose 100 lbs. in a heart beat.
I don’t like to drive and would rather either walk or catch the bus, but when I was nineteen I got a job working third shift. So, I had to purchase a car because buses stopped running around 6pm. I think I instantly put on 20 lbs. that first year. I only ate one meal a day. I would leave work at 7:30 in the morning and eat one huge meal, watch TV, and then go to sleep. The next couple of years I really started getting into going to buffets and I packed on about 35lbs. Then a couple of years ago I went back to school, which made my schedule really crazy. I ate out every meal. Usually I would have pancakes with butter for breakfast, lunch I would have fast food or the lunch buffet close to work, then I would have a slice of pizza for dinner, and then after school a bunch of my classmates and I would meet up at Applebee’s and have ½ price appetizers. That was daily!!!! I packed on another 40 lbs. bringing my weight to 234 lbs. That’s the highest I’ve ever been and I pray to God to give me strength to never see that number again.

This diet may not be for everyone, but at the moment it’s for me. I am not a doctor, so I can only tell you what’s best for ME.
My plan is to take two fellow YouTubers advise/experiences and mix them together.
1. I'm going to start doing a partial liquid diet like the Impatient Dieter using meal replacement shakes for breakfast and lunch. I’m not partial to one particular brand, but I have one hand Slim-Fast, Bally's Total Fitness, and Atkins shakes (120-190 calories), so I’ll be starting with those.
2. I will also be dramatically reducing my calorie intake to 1000 calories/day as suggested by Tearsnomore87. Using meal replacement shakes is not only easy to prepare but a no brainer for staying under 1000 calories/day.
3. I will allow myself to have 2-100 calorie or less snacks a day. This first week I choose Murray's Sugar Free chocolate cookies (70 calories) and Kudos 100 calorie snickers bar.
4. My all time favorite food in the world is ICE CREAM!!!!! I love ice cream so I will end every night with an ice cream dessert. I'm limiting it to anything under 200 calories. My favorite is the Slim-A-Bear Klondike bars. They are 170 calories. I also found little cups of vanilla and chocolate ice that are 100 calories each at Wal-Mart.
5. I will drink as much water and zero calorie drinks as I want throughout the day (water, Crystal Light and diet soda).
6. I will walk for a half hour on the treadmill at lunch and before I go home in the evening.
7. I will update my weight loss blog throughout the week and YouTube once a week.
